Beginning Fencing Classes For Youth Ages 6-14

All students without fencing experience start in the Youth Beginning One class.
Each of these is a four session class.  

Equipment use is included in the class fee.
Students MUST wear gym shoes, t-shirt and gym pants.
Sorry no jeans, capris, khakis, slacks, shorts, sandals, boots.


 

*50% Active Duty Rebate On Beginning One Class *Discounts can't be combined.

Dress Code

For safety and ease of learning please be sure your fencer arrives in appropriate clothing.

Studies report fencing's analytical and abstract
concepts heighten math skills.

Musketeers Level 1 Class


Fencing Class For Youth Ages 6-8
This class is for children with no fencing experience. Each half hour class includes lots of fun learning to fence activities.  Coordination and skills are reinforced through games. We recommend fencers stay in the Musketeer 1 class for no more than four months.
 

Refer to calendar on Info for Members page for monthly schedules. Class fees include equipment use and are based on the number of classes in a particular month.

Musketeers Level 2 Class

 

Musketeers who have completed 4 months in Level 1 may move to the Musketeers 2 class. Musketeers 2 meets Wednesday, 5:00-5:30, unless otherwise noted on our calendar. We recommend fencers stay in the Musketeer 2 class for no more than four months.

Beginning One


Beginning Fencing One Youth Ages 9-14 Class
This class is for children with no fencing experience. Each class starts with a fun warmup activity.  New fencing positions and movement are added each week until beginners start to "bout" and use their basic knowledge. Class fee is $115. Equipment use is included. Beginning Level One meets Tuesday, 6:00-6:50

September 27 - October 18

Beginning Two

Beginning Two Fencing for Youth Ages 9-14 Class
This class is for fencers who have completed Beginning One. Your child will refine their skills, add new foot, and blade work. You may still rent all the class gear just like in Beginning One. The class fee including equipment use is $115. 
Beginning Level Two meets Tuesday, 6:00-6:50

Available Beginning Two Classes:

August 30 - September 20

October 25 - November 15

Intermediate

Fencers, ages 9-14, will continue to improve with new skills and be prepared to start a recreational program. Your fencer may continue to use fencing gear just like in the Beginning Two class. We recommend fencers stay in the Intermediate class no more than four months.

Private Lessons 

 

This is a one on one lesson with a coach. Ten minute Private Lessons come in groups of four and must be pre-paid. Lesson sign up is available outside of class time. Lessons are available during class and practice times for current members. You should be warmed up, stretched and ready to go at the start of the scheduled lesson time. These lessons are a supplement to a regular class or practice. Lessons are available from any coach. Please discuss scheduling with the coach.
